3yr. old in HIGH KILL SHELTER IN CA.

Another person on FB said the 10-day period is up today. Hopefully Dawn has some time to contact SSR or will hear from them to see if they can get him out or someone will adopt him. If you recall, I believe Dawn is 3rd on the waiting list to adopt him.

Sigh. Let's hope for good news.
 
Gosh, I wonder what is going on. I thought the sheltie rescue was to get him out yesterday. Poor Whiskey does not have a lot of time to play with.

Has anyone heard anything else on what is going on with him? I pray that he is safe.
 
I'm hoping they'll have him out by end of day. It's only just after Noon in California so there should still be time. I'd like to think that since there is a waiting list for him they won't do something stupid.
 
Well, I just called. He's still there. The woman said he's not available for adoption until 9/22. That doesn't mean he can't be released into SSR's custody before that though.

Sigh. Poor dog.

Thanks Cheryl for calling. I've been working a lot and haven't had a chance. I can't believe his 10 days aren't up yet. That poor guy! It's my understanding that the rescue can't pick him up until he is available for adoption. They have a hold on him, so he should go straight to them. I e-mailed my rescue contact and haven't heard anything. I think we'll see the announcement on FB first. Stay tuned to SSR Fb page.

OH my gosh...someone needs to buy that shelter a calendar! LOL At least he is still safe and it's just a matter of a little more time. Thanks for calling! I could have called too, but being you guys are kind of the "go to" people already here..I didn't want to step on your toes :winkgrin::winkgrin:

LOL....but boy are you right! It seems like it's been a lot more than 10 days!
 
Geez I swear this poor little guy....We're all stressed waiting for him to be released so just imagine how he feels. I wish I could give him a big hug.
