Been Feeding PuPPY food--Now dog is 3 years old- need best adult food in market

I am not sure about dental stain. All I know is that it is a pain to brush their teeth! They hate it...

What is your girl's name? Do you have pics? I noticed you hadn't introduced yourself...

LOL,, That makes perfect sense. don't blame you but actually the Champion Breeder i bought this Puppy from 3 years ago was feeding Purina Proplan...believe it or not. but she has since switched all her champion dogs to IVO. she said transformation was Amazing....
so i tried IVO but my dog had diarrhea. I am gonna try the Orijen first then Arcana if that doesn't work. Orijen seem to be mostly Chicken and Fish and NO lamb ???:confused2:

If you had issues with even 1/5 of the amount of your current food, slow the cutover process even more by using only 1/8 of the new food to your current food (essentially halving what I typed above and doubling the length of the cutover).


Thanks for the complements on my little guy. Like yours, he's 3-years old (August 17th). The avatar is from one of my favorite pictures. The light from the sunset was just perfect for that shot; I don't think we could ever duplicate it.

I will introduce myself, haven't had time yet. will try to get pics. My sheltie is Bi Black sheltie from champion bloodline. Both parents are finished champions. She was never shown because she is so small,,,only about 10-11 inches tall female bitch, with prettiest head. but apparently a Perfect PET that likes to tear up anything made of Paper.... working on curving that habit,, of course.
Thought about breeding her at one point but she is too small and puppy birth maybe too stressful for a sheltie this size, so decided not to go that route.
Oh and my dog runs away at the site of Tooth brush,,, stays about 20 yards away at the site of toothpaste or brush......lol

No, but he does have Champion parents and throughout his pedigree. Even though he is within standard (14.5"), his build is to lithe for a male Sheltie. His lithe build, however, is PERFECT for Agility - which we've been pretty successful at so far (we've only been in two trials so far).
 
A "Finished" dog, any breed, is one that has earned it's Champion title in any of the Kennel Clubs, AKC, CKC, etc.

All of these mentioned are good foods. I had my guys on Orijen for awhile but had to switch because Bacca got sick (for a different reason) and then wouldn't touch it again. Another one to add to the list is Horizon Legacy. Great ratings and my dogs love it!

Got it. For some reason, all I could imagine was a long table with dogs lined up neatly on each side and some headmistress explaining the order of use for the silverware. :lol:
