Been Feeding PuPPY food--Now dog is 3 years old- need best adult food in market

Omy goodness..I'm laughing.Some how Lovely..I feel as though I am in the same room with you as you type those words. I can almost imgaine it.

I was going to ask also about a "finished" sheltie.(I'm still giggling) I must have inhaled to much cocoa today making brownies. But thanks for explaining it Silaria.

No problem explaining it. I just learned what it meant myself earlier this while talking to my breeder about finishing Edan's half-sister.

LOL.,.. that is a funny picture. anyway, actually it is a very long and difficult process to finish a sheltie. It has become exceedingly difficult to finish a sheltie. Many Specialties and regular all Breed kennel show could go by before you get any Points. Winning a Large All breed show can help you out cause they count for more points but there is alot of Politics involved.
There is a Movie from year 2000 called "Best in Show". this is a very comical funny movie about getting a dog to its championship. There is lots of Comical Satire involved but actually the politics that were presented in the movie isn't that far off.... Judges showing favoritism is common place....:lol:

Changed my mind, gonna try the ZiwiPeak brand-hope it is worth the price

Thank you so much to ALL for replying. I have changed my mind and decide to give the ZiwiPeak a try first. The rep from the company called me and convinced me that this is the BEST dog food in the Market today by far.
and the cost seem to be only about $15 more per month compared to other premium food like Arcana. $90 bag will last me 2 month cause my sheltie is only 18 lbs. and 98% of the food is digested so my dog will make very small amounts of poop........lol

I've actually never heard of this brand.

What made you decide this brand over the others? I feed my boys Horizon Legacy. I go through two 9 lb bags per month. That's $50 for two dogs per month. Looks like you will be be paying about double for 1 dog.

Yes, it is probably most expensive of all the premium foods. It would never work if i had multiple dogs like 2-3 dogs. It would just get too expensive. Company claims that it resembles what the dog would eat in the wild more closely than any other food. All natural and 98% of the food is digested and absorbed so very little poop. It is a small company that serves the people that Only wants the BEST for their dog, no matter what. At least that is what they claim. LOL..... Link to the advantage of this food.

Ummm.....I hate to say it, but I think you are being suckered to pay more than you need to for a good brand.

I actually laughed at No. 10 - Mirror a wild hunting diet - it's kibble! How can that mirror a hunting diet?

We ALL want the best for our dogs. And I do pay premium price for my dog food - that's high enough - but this brand your looking at is like double what I pay.

I would walk away from this...TOTW, EVO, Orijen, Horizon, Acana - if you want a grain free diet are the way to go. There are also alot of good other foods out there, not necessaril grain free. We've talked about them all here.

If you really want to "mirror a hunting diet", then you want to go to a raw diet. Lots of threads on this forum about that too.

I think you have some good points there. It maybe just a Gimmick. but the Rep told me that the food resembles the Raw food more than any other premium food in the market. She said, the Food is AIR dried and not oven dried or something like that so all the nutrients are still in the food. Not sure ?? anyway, i am rethinking this choice.
and As far as the Raw food is concerned, i heard so many good things about them but it might be too messy and too much work. and i saw some Raw food from Mail order place like Raw Buffolo meat with bone, Raw chicken with bones etc,,,, and they are fairly expensive...
and what if the Dog eventually wants to eat you ??? if you keep giving it raw food ???? LOL:lol:
