A wee dram of a pup is a fine thing, and ye coudn't name 'im a bettern name: Scotch. Cheers to the new'n!

I 'ave been meaning to tell ye, tho that the other pup, if yur going to be correct and keepin with the Scottish theme, then ye better drop tha "e" from the pup's name.

Whisky be the correct spellin' for a Scottish lad.

Oh, I like the name Guinness too! I thought about Ale, but it sounds so close to my name that could get confusing

I did realize I spell Whiskey's name americanized that's a d'oh! I think that stemmed from Moonshine though, that is definately quite a bit more deep country American. Of course in my defense when Moonshine came along I didn't even know the country of origin.

I hadn't realized you were doing an alcoholic theme with Bailey until just now, then again I steer clear of sweet stuff...had a bad run in with schnapps a few years ago.

I hadn't thought about the label colors relating to the dog color that is an excellent idea. I'm gonna have to take you up on that one probably.

Sorry to hear about Rum. I am glad to hear that you are getting a new pup.

Can't wait to hear more about him.

My first sheltie was named Brandie Alexander (I know we spelled Brandie different). I decided I wanted to name my next day after alcohol too and I wanted a "B" name in memory of Brandie. Bailey was an easy choice. I'll probably keep the theme going with my next pup, but we'll see when the time comes.

I love the name Guinness. I named the first Rottweiler and puppy I delivered on my own that. Of course it was St Patrick's Day so.. what else would he be called.:wink2: He was the only pup to keep his temp name from the litter. He has a special place in my heart.:smile2:

COngrats on the new pup. Can't wait to see pictures.

Congratulations on the new pup. Can't wait to see the pictures. It is interesting to read how we come up with the names. I always go for meaning - Noah (comfort), Emma (healer). Hamish my sister named after her husband James - it's the Scots form of the name and guess where Jim was born.

mine will always be food themed, LOL :o
Alcohol os only my third love, ...
Dogs, Food then Booze... but we're all different LOL :biggrin2:

Now wait a minute. Our shelties are named after U.S. presidents, but I never thought of myself as political...............of course everyone else thinks of us as political...........personally I prefer activists/radicals.:biggrin2:
