I found a website by someone with a geriatric tripod and this is apparently par for the course. Of course, most tripods don't live this long and are considered geriatric at 9 or 10. so looks like this is my ride

he is so far having a good week.

Last week was a good week. This week had been OK. Nothing bad. we still have the poop issues. I swear half the time he gets his bad foot and half the time he steps in it with his good foot. But this morning Gavin apparently really had to go to the bathroom (I am guessing he didn't go when I had let him out earlier) and was being a major pain while I was showering, walking up and down the hallway and into the bathroom multiple times. So with motivation, he is still pretty mobile. The pro-biotic for his poop showed up so maybe that will help, at least making the poop clean-up easier.

So I am beginning to wonder if it is time for Gavin to use his wheelchair fully. as in pulling both his rear legs up. You see videos of paralyzed dogs flying around in their wheels...and Gavin has never had that cause his rear legs slow him down. It's not like he is in the chair that often so I can't see that it would hurt his regular walking/limping gait. just a thought....

Can you modify the one you've got to try that? Seems like it might work, and keep him more mobile.
