Heading to the National!

I got a message from Rachel that Diva qualified in Novice JWW. She got 2nd place in Novice A 12". She had the fastest time but got 1 refusal. Not sure what the time was. They have Std soon.

I am just so proud of Rachel and Diva. This is only Rachel's 2nd agility trial. Her first was last weekend with her Malamute Kiva(who got 2 std legs and 1 JWW). She has only been running Diva since the first of the year.

YAY, Rachel! It's even sweeter that this is only her second trial - wow! Keeping my fingers crossed for Standard...

Dear Mama Checkers,

I am sorry that I will not be there is person to cheer for you but I will be there in spirit. Good luck to you and all our Rabbit Run family.

Your loving son,

Barclay

My little Barclay! I'm so happy that you've joined the Forum! (As opposed to my wild and crazy brother Barkley who mom won't let near the computer) Thanks for your good wishes. I have been bathed and whitened and volumized and conditioned and trimmed today until I'm surprised I have any fur left. I'm sure there's more to come. :rolleyes2:

I will do my best though to hold up my end and make my old mom look good in the ring. It's a chore, sigh, but I do get chickie treats, so I put up with it. It seems to make her happy, especially when we get those silly little colored strips. What good are they? It's not like they're made out of rawhide.

Love and Licks,
Mama Chex

Yeah!! How exciting!!

My first real trial was the ASSA Trial in VA Beach. I got a Novice A Standard leg, I still have the bigass 1st place bowl. My veteran dog was clean in Novice JWW Preferred, but was so far over time she didn't Q. We all cried anyway. Heehee, should have seen me sneaking in with my 5 month old Smooth Collie, I had had her a whole week. Most of our club was down there, and people still talk about me running barefoot in that horse barn. It was fun.

The standard results are in Rachel and Diva Q'd with a clean run and got 1st in Novice A 12" standard!:biggrin2:

Their time was 47.57sec(2.73 yps). Rachel told me she made Diva hold her bottoms a bit as Diva still tends to leap over the zone and she wanted to make sure. So she could have gone faster.

The time in Jumpers was 28.79sec(3.37 yps). She had one refusal were Rachel pulled her from the jump and had to circle back.

She got 2 huge silver plates and 4 huge rosettes , Rachel was so excited when she called I think she may have been floating on the ceiling of the building.:smile2: She told me she is getting a professional picture to mark the occasion. Sorry no video. :(

Horray for Rachael and Diva!!! Huge congrats! I can speak from experience, she will NEVER forget this day. May there be many, many more.

BRAVO to Rachel and Diva!! You must all be walking on air. What a wonderful showing! Congratulations to all! :biggrin2:

Congrats!! I saw on FB when Rachel posted the first win, but didnt want to spoil the news here :) What a great start to the week..she'll be floating the rest of the week im sure!!
