I'm getting a puppyyyyyyyyy!

I am SO thrilled for you. She is just gorgeous. You will always and forever cherish your "first" puppy (or kitten) in a very special way. No matter how many come after, no matter what changes come along through life, the very first has an extra special place. Mine was a kitten named Aurora. I am so very happy Bonnie will be your little "first". Have a wonderful time with her her.

Thank you everyone :smile2:

The weekend went well! Bonnie is a hyperactive little spitfire most of the time until I wear her out and then she's ready for naps. She is very playful and seems to have a high herding instinct, she's already stalking and herding everyone. Although I've never had a dog before let alone a Sheltie so she could be average for the breed for all I know. She is also extremely friendly and isn't afraid of anything yet.

We had a few (as in 2 or 3) accidents in the house during the first 24 hours but none in the last 24 hours! Right now we are focusing on teaching her her name and to be quiet in her crate! She is quite good overnight in the crate when she is tired but when I place her in there during the day she will whimper quite a bit with the occasional howl thrown in. But she hasn't had one single accident in the crate so far which is great. Although I do get up during the night so there are no mistakes. I generally leave her in there for 4 hours before waking up and taking her out.

She also has a little bed on the lounge next to me, so right now that's where she is having a nap!

Welcome to square one! You are doing great. Give her tons and tons of toys and engage her that way. You will do fine.

My brushes came, my brushes came! I ordered 2 CC brushes and their detangler/conditioner Ice on Ice and they got here today. I was excited, Bonnie however was not. The delivery guy just dropped them off and left and poor Bonnie wanted a pat  and then she was too excited to let me brush her with my brand new brushes

http://s1291.photobucket.com/user/Skysong87/library/Bonnie I even added a pic of my order, lol. Those 3 items cost me $110 and I just made another order from a different website for more grooming items, worming tablets plus a few more toys which was another $135. Needless to say I am now broke :uhoh:

And I still have to buy her some heart worm tablets as well as a second crate

Bonnie also had her 10 week birthday yesterday! Poor girl didn't get anything special other than her worming tablet, lol. She hasn't had an accident inside for 4 days now! And I don't really take her out all that often. I just leave the back door open enough for her to come and go as she likes and she pretty much takes herself out whenever she needs to go!

I've also booked her in for her second shot and for puppy preschool. Only 9 more days until we go to preschool! And 11 more days until her shot :/ Also yesterday Bonnie got to meet her fur auntie (my future mother-in-law's dog) who is a mini fox terrier. She was a little hesitant at first but then really wanted to play. However since poor Lilly is around 10 years old she doesn't really play. So I'm hoping Bonnie will make some puppy friends at preschool :fl
