Midwestern Paws!

I'm in Ohio...west of Columbus. The Shelties don't mind the weather at all...but I stand right by the door to let them in as soon as they want.
 
We are up to a "toasty warm" 14 degrees above zero this morning! :smile2: You would think summer had arrived...my guys were so thrilled to finally be able to play and roll in the snow for 20+ minutes without paws being held up from the cold.

Gosh....temp here is 12 above..."warmer" than yesterday at this time. Mine have been out plaing this morning but don't stay out very long at a time.
 
Woodbender, yes it's Musher's Secret. I couldn't recall the name when I posted last night. I did apply it before DH walked them, he said Forrest didn't limp which he often does in cold weather. It was the 1st time using it. It was non-greasy, applied easily and I recommend it for icy cold weather and salty sidewalks.

Boy Trini - I so look forward to being out playing with Claire when she figures out she's allowed to do that! Our previous old girls LOVED romping in the snow, rolling, hopping. We had one dog we were watching for a while (my dad's golden lab) who would get a running start and sllliiiiiiide on her flank across our yard!:lol:
 
We are on the crazy side. We bundled up and did our normal, daily 5 mile run with no paw problems. It was 7 degrees with -15 wind chill. I run with my two shelties, Stella and Pups Watson. It took a little under an hour. If they don't get their run in, its the zoomies all day.

That's what I should be doing. My joints won't tolerate that anymore though.:rolleyes2:
 
It was 20 above with a 13 wind chill in BR yesterday. It was brutal for me, but did not bother Zulu a bit. Living in the South all my life, I cannot even imagine what minus anything must be like!!
 
I love the snow, that is all.
