Owning a Sheltie Means...

Owning a sheltie means that when you wake up crying in the middle of the night because it's just been a horrible time in your life, you will have a furry little face kissing away the tears.

Owning a sheltie means that when you have a horrible day at work- no matter how horrible, fur therapy waits at the end of the drive home.

how true!

Owning a sheltie means that someday your heart will break and will have a sheltie size hole in it. It will never be completely filled again, but if you are very lucky another sheltie will come into your life and you will love again.

Having said goodbye to two precious shelties so far, this is precisely correct. They steal pieces of your heart and when they depart it is SO hard to get over them, but you MUST grant another access and go through the process all over again, because they are so endearing that you know you can't be w/o one.

Owning 2 shelties means although I'm afraid of being home alone I have 2 body guards that will protect me and make me feel safe

Owning a Sheltie means your weekend is filled with fetch, frisbee, hikes, walkies, and park trips...and you wouldn't have it any other way.
