During the week Abby gets a good 6-7 hrs. rest while I work then she gets a good 1 hour walk in the evening. On the weekends she gets zero rest. This past Sunday we all were in the yard doing stuff and every time she would find a spot to lay down something would move ( cat, squirrel, turkey, horse, wife or me) and up she is to see whats going on. I can't move without her moving. She walks around then trys to find another spot to lay down until I move again. On these days we do not go for afternoon walks as she can hardly keep her eyes open by dinner time.
Now comes the question part - come Monday she appears very lethargic, stiff and sometimes I hear clicking coming from her. (I click and I know its from inflammation and doing too much). She is generally fine by Wednesday. Do you think that I should enforce one or two naps during the day or just keep letting her do what she wants?
Who gives their dogs rest/nap time when your home all day? I would mean like a forced nap?
How much rest does your sheltie get during the day?
As usual all feedback is much appreciated , so thank you.
