Now I did warn you they think they are superpups when on that pain med - silly boy! They do tend to forget they are sore too and the barking pulls on the stitches.
I am still trying to figure out how it was even possible from him to dash through that tiny space between me and the door! I never even had a chance. It was over with, and the only thing I could do was stare in shock with my mouth hanging open. Third day after surgery, and he hasn't changed a lot. He has been stealing socks again. My mom gave him a pair of socks, but he won't touch them. I think they must taste better if they are stolen and there is a sense of danger in the air.
My mom and dad are leaving on a trip for two weeks, which means there will be nobody at night to watch Smudge. They left this morning. I told my mom to just let Smudge loose in my room after she took him outside to go to the bathroom, since it would only be an hour and a half before I got home. He used the bathroom all over the floor. He usually does not do this, and I don't understand why he went in my room when my mom declares he went when she took him outside. It's a good thing I'm getting new carpet after the first of the year anyway. The whole house reeks. So anyway, this means that because there is nobody at home to watch him Smudge will have to stay in a crate for 9 hours the next two nights.

I bought some puppy training pads to go in his crate, because I don't know what else to do. I'm having to take short lunch periods to make extra money so I can have an emergency vet fund in case something else comes up.
Reguarding his eye, he is scratching it. It doesn't seem to be getting better at all, but it's only been three days. I really hope this dip works. The dip is only $20 every two weeks where the interceptor is $180 a month.
Smudge has been drinking, finally. He drank a bowl and half at breakfast, and then drank another bowl and a half at supper yesterday. Today he drank a little, but not very much.
