Oh my, it looks like Earnhardt is going to be an big brother! What sweet pictures of both of them. Trapp looks like such a little imp in his photos.

No he is not pure. His father was a registered purebred yellow lab. Earnhardts daddy & his family are neighbors of ours,just two houses up. His father's name is Hunter,and is a whooping 102 pd. Just a massive dog,and Earnie takes after him for sure,weighing in at 96lbs. If they were side by side,you could almost not be able to tell them apart,except for the obvious aging of his dad,grey muzzle & the added weight.

His mom was a rescue that was left at a residance that Brian & I rented back 6 years ago. She was basically left to die there,as the previous tenant was arrested for assault and his butt put in jail.He never returned to the residance.I do think she was lab,and retriever,could have been some shepard also. Just the same,she was a very good mom to her 7 pups she blessed us with on the back porch one May morning.

Earnhardt is a gentle old soul,I knew Trapp would be well taken care of by his big brother..of course when his baby sitting services were needed!!

Yes he looks tiny,next to Earnie.he now has a habit of going under Earnhardt for protection!

Earnhardt is such a Fantastic Big Brother to Trapp. I think he really loves having a baby brother around.:cool:
 
OMG how awesome! I am SO happy that Earnhardt and Trapp are becoming a brother-team. You are a GREAT mom to them Michele!:yes:
 
Well they certainly have bonded for sure,no doubt. I just let the two in from last potty outside. Now Earnhardt sleeps on the sunporch these cool nights,plus I have company here.And not sure they would appreciate the dog hair on the sofa.But that is where Earnhardt would normally be,on the sofa!

It has become quite clear today,that Trapp looks for Earnhardt when he is in his crate,as if he is in during the day during Trapps nap he is ALWAYS sleeping next to the crate.

In the early morning when Trapp wakes up at 5-5:30,I take him to potty,and I let him stay on the porch with Earnhardt till I get up at 7. I have yet to find any mess,and usually find them curled together on the bed out there.

He really is settling into a nice routine,which for me is important,and I feel is better for him.
Thank you for all the kind words,Trapp is a joy. Besides all the puppy antics..like pulling laundry off the line today:biggrin2:...biting at pant legs...I would not trade these precious moments for any thing~
