That's hilarious!
Bela doesn't seem to have the Sheltie crazies yet - but she's still recovering from the scary puppy mill experience.
Neeche hated a multitude of things, but the worst thing to set him off was applause. I can't begin to tell you how many obedience events we disqualified in simply because Novice A was the last class of the day, and they were handing out best in shows in an adjacent ring. My trainer and I tried EVERYTHING to rid him of this, but it was an impossible task. When he heard applause, no matter how far away (once two buildings away), he would break the exercise and throw himself around in circles barking. Unless you've experienced this yourself, you can't even begin to imagine how embarassing this can be.
He also (in his retirement years) developed a hatred of vacuum cleaners, trash bags, airplanes (we lived in the flight path of a civil aviation airport and he would chase them off the property), and when he and I moved in with my parents, he developed an absolute hatred of a Westie who was walked in the neighborhood at the same time he was. I attribute that to the fact that when Neechee tried to greet him for the first time, doggie fashion, the Westie rudely barked and snarled at him - probably cussing at Neeche in dogese.

Riley really doesn't care PDAs between me and the wife. He allows one kiss, then he starts barking. We thinking of loaning him out to people with dating teenagers. No funny business will get by him. 
He is also not a fan of laughing.
My previous Sheltie would bark at anything dragged or rolled along the ground. She would even try to bite the water out of the hose as I washed the car.

When I was little we had a sheltie named max. I think I was 4 and my brother was 3 years old. If we were playing in the yard and I would go to the jungle gym, Max would knock my brother on his back and drag him by his shoe laces to where I was. We ended up giving him to my grandmother for this reason. Then his freak out turned into the squirrels, well just because they were mean to him. They would steal his food and run up the privacy fence and chuck the food pieces at him. As soon as max would react they would "blend in" to the fence post. This game used to go on for hours.
My two shelties now, Spunky and Roxy, they have a few quirks but not many. For spunky it's motorcycles that really set him off, or if you whimper or stare at him. He can't take it lol. Roxy is really OCD about her kennel. If she took out a stuffed animal or a blanket and forgets about it she won't go in, but if we find all of the missing things to her kennel she's more than happy to get in and relax.

I have never heard of another Sheltie going crazy over Where is Timmy, LOL
Toffee is still doing the wacky thing when I sneeze, since I think it's funny I never try and out train that... the toothbrush is ongoing training, but much better... Oh and he totally alerts to my cell phone ring... which I also think is ok.. EXCEPT when I leave it on by accident, and we were in agility class and he ran to my bag on the floor alerting to the darn ringing cell, when he was supposed to be running a course with me LOL
