Well Finally.............

Congratulations on your new puppy! :biggrin2: I'm so happy for you. He is a cute handsome boy. Chauncey is a very nice name.

What a gorgeous face. The expression reminds me of our Rhiannon, and I don't say that very often. She is one of the sweetest, kindest Terv's you will ever meet.
I always wanted to call a male Rowan. The rowan tree, here it's called the mountain ash, is what you would take a branch from before crossing a fairie mound. It would protect you from them stealing you and taking you down to be their servant. Had Tinsel been sable it would have been his name but he's a blue merle and he came at Christmas hence his name.
Whatever you call him, he is already giving his special brand of peace to Richard - something Rhi did for Peter, my sister-in-law's father, so you get to see the amount of heart this young dog has. Congrats on finding him and giving him the security of a forever home.

Oh, he is so beautiful! He is really elegant yet has the tenderest eyes. His name should cover both of those traits. Chauncey just might do it. Janet

New picture of my little prince

Taken at the dog park. He is a gift from Heaven to me. I realized all my prayers were answered in him. He is 5 years and 3 months and we are his 4th home. I realized it was a journey and a lesson in patience and acceptance on my part. He had to spend 3 plus years with a woman in a wheelchair who probably needed him at that time before coming home to me, and then the journey of several counties to arrive at the one I live in and a short period with another family and then onto me which is where God sent him and he will be here the rest of our lives as he is my new best friend and my furry son. My heart swells with love when I look in his eyes. I waited a long time for him and am the most grateful ever in my heart for such a loving creature. P.S. Isn't he just incredibly handsome?

Chauncey is not only incredibly handsome, he could be my Asta's twin! His face and the small white half strip up his nose are so much like her - wow. Asta is also a very kind sweet dog with beautiful expressive eyes like Chauncey.

So, so glad this worked out - you sound over the moon with happiness! Chauncey has hit the jackpot at last. Congratulations and best wishes to both of you for a long and healthy life together. Keep those stories and pictures coming! :smile2:

Attached is a picture of Asta maybe you can see the resemblance.
