What has your sheltie destroyed/chewed so far?

Meme - my sheltie Tali(too)

Hi - Tali(too) is 11 months old and she has eaten -
all the tips off shoelaces on all shoes
the wires from the computer speakers
the plug off the vacumn cleaner and almost the vacumn when I was using it
the plug off the battery charger (that's a big one) and we never did find where she put it
all the labels off blankets, toys,
made holes in the center of carpets
the stuffing from inside pillows, slippers, stuffed animals
remote controls for the tv's
I had one male sheltie 1 year old - who when left alone for a few minutes in the car ate the interior so badly that the stuffing was popping out - not only from the leather seats but also the side panels on the door. The windows were so badly scratched that everything had to be replaced. He wanted the stores to change their rules and allow shelties in!
However, I would never be without them!

Oh goodness where do I start...

Tex's favorite thing is underwear. He's chewed about $150 worth or more I'd say... He also chewed a hole in the downstairs couch, a gamecube controller, The edge of the kitchen wall, stuffed animals, bras, stray pencils, shoelaces, and I could keep going...

I hope he'll grow out of it or something.

we have puppy 5 mos old, so far he had chewed a couple carpets, and destroyed about half of his fabric based toys . But that's alright since he is teething. Our two other boys I remember had a field day with some receipts, needed for tax purposes, the yellow pages, toilet paper, tissues (love to shred into pieces), chewed the coat off one another.

Still rate mine ours shelties as very minor compared to sporting breed like labs/retrievers.

I can only think of one thing my Shelties have chewed up and that was a long time ago. At the time, Buttons was maybe two years old and Bows was one year old. We started noticing pencils that were left on the coffee table were getting chewed up. We didn't know who was doing it. Around this time I set up a video camera in that room to keep an eye on my stepson who was giving us a lot of trouble. Well it not only caught my stepson up to no good, but we finally discovered that Bows was jumping up on the table to grab the pencils. We made sure to keep them out of reach from then on.

Let's see

Dreamer isn't bad for chewing up things. Of course, my girls are another story! :wink2: Presley has chewed up a number of pacifiers that my daughter would throw in the floor, paper towels, and toilet paper. Rain loves socks! She will find socks any chance she can and chew them to shreds. She has also chewed up shorts, pants, but always in the ahem area. Goofy dog. We learned really quick to make sure that when we're doing laundry, the sorted clothes have to be where she can't get to them. :eek2:

Texarkana: our Mad Macs used to chew up underwear and socks. It was mostly just to get us to chase him, but if we ignored him and didn't give chase, he'd hide behind the couch and chew 'em up. He'd gotten a good start on chewing up the legs on our bar stools until he grew out of that phase, thank goodness.

Now Macs loves paper from out of the trash (who needs a shredder?), the tails, eyes and noses on his stuffed toys, the stuffing out of those same toys, grass, buried treasure found in the kitty litter (yum!), tennis balls, empty yogart cups (prefereably with some yogart left inside).

Not too bad

Auber's got in some slight trouble for destroying, especially when it's been a particularly rainy week and she's not gotten the exercise she really needs, but I'll take her any day over my sister's Cavalier/Cocker mix who has eaten everything you can think of and destroys anything stuffed (including his bed) within hours of getting it or finding it himself.

Auber's list includes:
Underwear (her favorite...she just loves to chew the lining out of them)
Shoe lace plastic caps
Chewed the arms off her stuffed monkey (after numerous games of tug of war)
The carpet edge next to my tiled fireplace (in a perfect circle, mind you)
Socks
Corners of some leather bound and paperback books
2 cell phone charger cords
Corners of towels and sheets that she is given
Tags of pillows and blankets on my couch
A cardboard box (to show her particular disdain for me leaving her to go snowboarding one weekend although she behaved wonderfully for my friends when they dog-sat)

That's all I can think of at the moment but I'm sure there were other destroyed items. Most of her indiscretions occurred when she was in her rebellious stage around 8 months. I'm so glad that's over.

When they were puppies they did a number on table legs & one corner of woodwork - but that stopped. However, one of my girls Bippie LOVES to eat my expensive underwear!
