Which side of the bed?

I tried to let Bailey sleep with me last night, but she didn't want too :( I opened up her crate and told her to jump on me bed. She walked around my room and then went back in her crate and fell asleep.

I did take her out at 7am and she slept with me for a few hours. I'll try again tonight

Truly! If she's happy in her crate, leave her in her crate! Don't encourage her to sleep on the bed. I love that my pup's love me and want to be close. But it would be nice if they would not sleep on top of me! When I still crated the dogs I was able to sleep in till 8 am on the weekends. Those days are gone! 7 a.m. and its up, up, up!

Yea I won't force her. If she wants to sleep on the bed, she can. If she doesn't, then that's fine too. I'll giver her the option again tonight.

Bailey would not sleep in my bed again last night. She wanted to sleep in the new comfy dog bed I just bought her. (she ate a hole in her old one) So I had to put her back in the crate for the night. I was afraid she might eat her dog bed while I was sleeping. She did sleep with me for 2 hours in the morning.

In the middle

Marius stays on the foot of the bed until all is settled(i.e. light out, TV off, etc) then moves to the floor by the door. To protect us from intruders I assume.:rolleyes2: If he wakes before I do he will curl up behind my legs with his head on my feet.

Pandora is claiming her area in the middle. We must break her of this habit, but I am so afraid she will fall off the bed she is so tiny.

Angy won't sleep on the bed. He'll get up on the bed and play tug of war and chew his toys for about an hour, but then he prefers to sleep on the floor by my bedroom door. Gee, it kinda makes me feel unloved . . .

UPDATE: The little "angel" has decided that the bed is now his and he DOES NOT LIKE to share it with a Chihuahua! Ever since ChiChi started sleeping with me Aonghus has become my night-time companion. He sleeps on his side with his back plastered up against my right side and he takes up 2/3 of the bed by stetching his legs out straight in front of him! Gotta love those shelties!

I think we need to add this agenda item to "managements" complaints in the SUBU negotiations.

Seriously, management must be able to control bed space, don't you think?

Those pups...give an inch and they'll take a mile (of bed space).

You all need to toss and turn as much as I do during the night. Even the kitten has decided its safer to sleep in her crate.

My lil pup has the whole side of the bed to himself ... sometimes he goes for a pillow or somtimes he sprawls out to take up as much room as possible... he always has to have part of himself touching me .... (i think its cuz he doesnt want me going anywhere when he is sleeping and not know)
if i get up in the middle of the nite to go to the bathroom he comes along and takes a pee on the puppy pad. (thats the only time he goes in the house.) then we can both sleep in and i dont have to worry about him holding it in for hours and hours.
