Here is a picture of our new little girl Lexi. She is with her brother Draco who we adopted from Central Illinois rescue last year. He is 30 lbs and Lexi is 8 lbs.

Looks like at least one of the females with CISR is pregnant! Thank God for rescue organizations like CISR!

Izzie barks at the school bus, train and of course the cell phone when it rings or receives a text. We won't even discuss the amount of barking when the doorbell rings :o Draco barks when you are preparing a meal for him.

We have just officially declared Draco as potty trained. He is between three and four months old and it took us three weeks :smile2:

I wish I had known sooner how much fun our five year old sheltie would have with a new sheltie puppy :)

We got our puppy from CISR on Dec 22nd. Draco is now 13 weeks old and is adjusting very well to our home. His sheltie sister Izzie who is five years old absolutely loves him! They spend a great deal of time chasing each other around the house and in the backyard. Should have added another...

Just found out today that we will be able to get one of the puppies from CISR. They are a great organization and we are thrilled to find a brother for Izzie! We pick him up tomorrow!

Thought I would post an update. We got our Maine Coon kitten (Carley) about two weeks ago. She has had free reign of the house for a week. She and Izzie (our Sheltie) are doing great together. Sleeping on the couch near each other and also in bed with us. Carley even sneaks a piece or two...

Natalie at CISR is awesome. She helped us find Izzie who was missing for 11 days in the dead of the winter. I have no doubt that she will find very good homes for these dogs that have experienced some horrific things.
