Miko: Always loved, never forgotten

Cheryl, my heart is so heavy for you at this, one of the saddest times you must go through. I too am shedding tears for you and your heart, Miko. Even though it was a hard decision to make, you know you did what was best for Miko, there comes a time when it is no longer fair to make them continue to go on and you made the most unselfish decision to let Miko finally lie down for a good, regenerating rest. Now, when it is your turn and you make that stop at the Bridge, you can once again laugh because you will see Miko running to greet you, won't that be a wonderful sight?

The prayer I pray to my Angel is this: Have good puppy dreams baby girl, I'll see you after while. Goodnight sweet baby, I love you and I miss you. You wait for Momma at the Bridge and when my Father calls me Home, I will be with you again.

Cheryl, I know there is nothing I can say that will ease your pain, just hug Koji a little closer as he will be grieving also, at least we humans understand what is happening, Koji just knows his best friend is no longer with him and he doesn't know why. My thoughts and prayers will be with you at this most difficult time in your life.

I am so so sorry for your loss. Miko was very loved and you were so brave knowing when it's time to let him go. He lived a long and happy life, the last picture of him was so beautiful I'm in tears. Take good care if yourself and Koji through this grieving period. Hugs.

I was moved to tears by your account, and poor Dickens was all distressed wondering what the matter was!

Crying my eyes out here......what a wonderful little story about Miko and how he squirmed his way into your life!

And all the love and care you gave him as long as it was still possible. I'm so sorry for your loss.

Hugs!

Thanks everyone. I truly appreciate it. I've been sleeping...a lot. Koji seems "quiet", if that makes sense.

I re-read that tribute, talk about disconnected, hehe. I'll probably write something very detailed for my blog. I barely blog anymore, but that will be something I put up there. I'll link to it later for those that actually want to cry and read more.

I always had a hard time coming to this folder because I knew I'd be a mess when it was Miko's time. Now that I'm here, it brings me happiness to feel all the support and love everyone is giving me and Miko.

Hopefully Miko is chatting it up with Gypsy about their homemade food. Miko can grumble about having to eat peas all the time. ;) Or maybe Diva is showing him around. He probably told her, just point me towards the sun. He was always a simple pup. Didn't need much. Just love and sun.

Strangely, I thought I'd be sad 24/7, but I'm not. I go through my good phases and bad. Right now, I'm in a good place. And Koji is whining at me. I suppose he has to go out. Maybe I should have told Miko to tell Koji to start giving Momma different signals. They all sound the same. I have no clue what he wants.

I am just so sorry for your loss. Take care of yourself, and of Koji. Sending prayers.

I know what you mean.....I keep thinking the same about Bacca.....I try not to go nuts over it, but I know that every day is a miracle that he still (sorta) thrives and survives. I'm just happy for each day that I get with him now. For how many days that may be.......
