I fed my Pixie California Natural Chicken and Rice for two years when nothing else would cure her colitis as a puppy. She started on it at six months and ate it until her system improved after she was 2. It is fantastic food and I recommend it to anyone whose dogs have digestive issues. It's a limited ingredient food, which is important if you have a pup with any kind of stomach issue.

One other thing I really like about the Innova products (California Natural is one) is that their food specialists are available by phone or email for questions and are very responsive to them. They helped me settle on California Natural when Pixie was having problems. I'd recommend it to anyone.
 
So it looks like California Natural and Taste of the Wild are excellent choices. I can get Taste of the Wild very close from here where California Natural would be a little longer drive.
 
I also feed California natural lamb and rice puppy chow. Bailey has a sensitive stomach. We started with wellness. Then I tried Innova. Then california natural chicken and rice. I had a gut feeling she was allergic to chicken, so I switched her to California natural lamb and rice. She's been on it for over a month and she's had perfect stools. If this food didn't work, I was going to have to feed her science diet ID canned food for the rest of her life. Yuck! Thankfully, it worked.
When she turns a year, I'm most likely going to transition her to the adult formula. It does have limited ingredients, but since Bailey is also on vibrant pets supplements, I feel she is getting enough nutrients.
I am considering trying TOTW pacific formula when she turns a year. I haven't made up my mind if she really has a sensitive stomach, allergic to chicken or just had a stomach virus. I have a few months to decide.

I have no issues if Diamond is in fact the manufacturer of TOTW. however I do not see anything on the bag saying they are the manufacturer.

No where on the site does it mention the use of this in thier Salmon formula. I actually had seen this writing quite some time ago,when we were thinking about transitioning,and I called TOTW myself,and asked about the ethoxiquin usage. I did my share of googling dog food formulas,prior to making the decision to transition.

Diamond had a recall in 2007,since then regualtions have got more strict & better testing has gone on.Many companys were caught up in this recall,including Blue Buffalo,Iams,Science diet.There were actually class action suits filed by dog owners,which had nothing to do with TOTW. These were Diamond products.

TOTW is made using 99.9% US products. No where on the bag does it say anything about the usage of ethoxiquin. I think what she was reading were old postings on Dog.com.

I fed California natural Lamb and rice to my dog Jazz for awhile. She has food allergies and at the only choice for feeding trial was Hills D/D or IVD foods if you could find it. So I that. She did great on it. Turns out her allergy was to beef(anything if it came from a cow) and artifical preservatives.

Michelle, what did TOTW say about the ethoxiquin. If the company did not add it they are not required by law to add it to the label. However, often the companys that fish for salmon for pet food use will put exthoxquin in as a preservative so they can stay at sea longer. The company needs to use a human grade product. Most company that have ethoxyquin free fish will state so on their web site or packaging. Wellness and Eagle Pack are 2 that do off the top of my head.:smile2:
