Hi Brittany, almost...I hope by the end of the weekend we will be able to declare it "officially gone" and then embark on the 2-3 week "post any visible infection" treatment. If so, then by Christmas we will be done with antibiotics, baths and topicals...I am sure Sketch will be a happy camper to have that all in the past even though he has been sweet and patient with everything that has had to be done to him. :smile2:

Happy update!

Visible infection is 100% gone as of today...so now we start the 2-3 week post visible infection treatment countdown. And with the infection no longer active I can take Sketch to rehab appointments...I just scheduled his first appointment for next Tuesday. Although he is doing super well, his remaining rear leg still gives out on him at times and I need to learn safe exercises to help increase both that leg strength and his overall core strength so his body can handle the extra work it will be required to do for the rest of his life.

Sketch thanks all his wonderful supporters during his journey from cancer dx, leg amp and MRSA infection to hopefully a full and happy 3 legged life for many more years.

Big sigh of relief from the other side of the country, Trini. You are both amazing and a huge inspiration.
 
My heart just jumped for joy reading you post!!!

How exciting that the rehab now can begin and I am wishing you both all the strength to allow Sketchy many more years of love with you!

Oh so happy to read this Trini! Finally some honest to god good news. I am hopeful all will be on the upswing for Sketch from here on out. You've both earned the right to some "uneventful" time now!! :yes:
 
Fantastic video and he is adjusting so well. Your a great mom and he knows
he has your support and love. I am so happy for Sketch and you.
