Sketch video...moving well :)

Thank-you, Sable. Sketch is coming up on his 6 month anniversary of his amp surgery (23rd of this month) and is a happy boy. He still gets off balance once in a while and falls, but overall he is doing super well. His stamina is definitely lower than before the surgery, however every tripod owner and vet I have talked to says that is normal as it takes a lot more physical effort to move/balance with a leg missing and he will always tire more easily now than when he had 4 legs. So life is good...just with a bit more couch potato time. :smile2:

The important question is...
Is Sketchie any cuddlier now?
Gavin has gone back to his non-cuddle seeking self, although he will still sleep on me when I'm laying on the couch.
 
Glad to hear Sketch is doing well. If the worst he has to deal with going forward is being a little more tired from balancing on three legs then that's not too bad, especially if everything else is at or near normal. :smile2:

We really need to beat this and all cancers.

Cindy, Sketch is a very affectionate dog, but has never been a lap doggie...he just wants to be near by. Actually I think that Gavin going back to being his non-cuddle self is a sign that for him that both emotionally and physically everything he has been through is past and life is back to being good for him. :smile2:

Amen to that!!!! In the last 8 years we have lost 3 wonderful dogs to cancer, 2 Shelties and a Samoyed. And in our current little ones Sketchie and Mickey have had cancer which hopefully has been fully removed with surgery but with any cancer you always are on edge for possible comeback. Some breeds seem to have a much higher incidence of specific cancers than other breeds, but sadly no breed is immune to cancer and the rate of cancer in our beloved companions is way too high.
