What has your sheltie destroyed/chewed so far?

My feet are cold...

ENDLESS amount of socks...he loves his...........OUR socks! As well as my body pillow...I have holes everywhere in it...I wanna buy a new one, or even a new cover, but who knows how long THAT will last Bad puppy! LOL :lol:
 
Recently, some combination of Mick and DJ (6 month old Shelties) and Matilda the rescue dog (roughly a year old) have eaten a hole in the kitchen wall, chewed up two chairs (one lawn chair, one kitchen chair), a hole in the living room carpet, my husbands jacket (they chewed the sleeve off), and the wooden knob off the drawer in the coffee table.
They have all kinds of chew toys, kongs, rawhides, rope, plush toys, etc.

I really needed to read this thread! I feel soooooo much better now. Maddy never chewed much of anything....then along came Shanti, the dog that ate the world! She has eaten shoes, dresser legs, table legs, throw rugs (4 of them I think), underwear (pulled them through the little tiny holes in the clothes hamper!) socks, my hair dryer, our wall to wall carpet, a beautiful African handmade basket (that one made me really steamed!). I've probably blocked out a bunch of things but that's probably the worst of it. The bad thing is that she's over a year now and she still chews things up. Will it ever end???

A number of years ago when my parent's sheltie was a pup he stole my glasses off of the table and chewed them up. He first chewed the ear pieces off and then chewed on the glass! Here were a number of tiny chips out of the lenses so I had to get new glasses. I was NOT happy :smile2:

This week Bacca completed the job that my forever pup, Timber, started on my living room couch 12 years ago!

Timber took care of the bottom cushions. Bacca has now taken on the back cushions. Beware the deadly silence....I walked into the living room to see what he was up to and he'd torn open an 8" by 8" hole in the fabric and succeeded in pulling out about 1/4 of the stuffing. :(
 
Well, today Buster decided to take a running fit and skidded right over the keyboard to my laptop. I didn't notice at the time but he popped one of the keys off it. When I did notice, I immediately started looking for it. I found it! It was in his mouth. Sadly, he had chewed it up beyond recognition. It is now a flat piece of plastic with several holes in it. :mad:
 
I guess we've been lucky because both of the shelties we've had have not been chewers at all. (not in a destructive way) It's kind of freekish because even when my kids were younger and their toys were all over the floor, the dog would only play with his own toys. We've even had some of the same stuffed animal dog toys for over 5 years and they're still in pretty good shape, however their ears and tails are chewed off. :wink2:
