Deska has elbow surgery

Just checking in to see if Kitty is home and how Deska is doing.

Last week a friend of mine with terminal cancer's blind cat was let out by her hubby when he was drinking. She was devastated and terrified for him since they live in a heavily wooded area with alot of wildlife. She searched for 3 days as sick as she is screaming for him. On the 4th night she rec'd a call from 3 teenage boys who said they had Mel, She didn't want to get her hopes up since there had been many calls about a look a like cat. She speed to the location to meet them and it was Mel. These 3 wonderful boys around age 16 saw her posters and decided to go looking for him and found him! Mel is her lifeline and this was a miracle.

Here's to your miracle, don't give up hope. :fl

Bless his heart, he looks wiped out and now wonder he whimpers when you get up. I pray he makes a speedey recovery and that is great that he will stand to pee, amazing that he stands. Hope kitty comes home soon, she must be scared out in the big world.

Awww... Poor little Deska does look so pitiful. My heart breaks for him too. Praying for a speedy recovery and that your kitty comes home.

Day 5 and he's looking a little brighter. Still heavily sedated, I've started taking him out in the stroller, which he seems to like, although he tires very quickly.

I learnt a lesson today - don't leave the sheltie uncrated after giving him a pain killer. He shot out of the doggy door and down the back stairs! Don't even know how he got through the dog door as he can't bend his legs. He had no idea what he was doing but he paid for it this afternoon. He's now sedated again and sleeping.

He is waking up with a fright every time which is wierd. He growls or cries or howls and acts like he doesn't know where he is. I thought it would wear off but it hasn't yet. Today a friend brought her Schnauzers around to visit and Deska woke up and attacked them. The dogs took it in stride but I got a fright. Another lesson learnt - let sleeping dogs lie.

No sign of kitty.

The poor guy, hope you're holding up well with all of that going on

Hoping for your kitty!! My friend had her cat gone for 6 weeks, and he came back... must have got locked in somewhere... he never wanted to go out again, he's a healthy 16 now and still going strong

Quite an adventure when recuperating from orthropedic procedures-animals or humans !!! Hang in there and praying for a smooth recovery and for kitty to come back home soon.

Katie, Laddie and I sending healing wishes to your sweet little boy and prayers that Kittie finds his way home safe and sound!!
Hugs and big sheltie licks from the kids!
