Subcutaneous Mast Cell Tumour

We had a good night. Grace slept in the kitchen until 4am and then came and slept beside me until around 6am. She has eaten a small amount of vet food and taken her first tablet. Ears are still flat and no tail wag, but she did relax enough to roll on her back so I was able to see her stitches. They look very good.

I have no plans for today, and will just stay and cuddle and pat Gracey. My hubby and two girls can fight over the chores between them.

That is a really good update. Grace is doing well so soon after a tough surgery...the flat ears and no tag wag will come around and I know they will bring happy tears when you see those upbeat ears and wagging tail again. Glad you have a "chore crew" to lend a helping hand so you can focus on Grace. :)

Sorry about responding to this thread so late. I was thankful to read Grace is back home in your loving care. Poor little girl has been through so much! I just hate it when they are not feeling well! All we want to do is make them feel better and ease their pain! Fingers, arms, legs, toes, and paws crossed for a speedy recovery and good news from the vets! Virtual hugs to you both!

This is a wonderful update! It’s great to hear that Grace is moving easily and eating. She will improve each day and soon your problem will be keeping her quiet. It’s lovely that you can spend time with her and let the family do chores! I bet Grace likes that idea too. Pats to your sweet girl.

Grace had a good night and finally had a wee and a poo this morning. I was just starting to worry as she'd gone over 24 hours. She's still very subdued but I guess that is because she has a lot of healing to do. She's eating and drinking well. So it's all good news so far. I'm just waiting on the news from the biopsy of her liver and the Ki67 test.

Thank you for all the support here. It means so much to me and helps more than words can say.

Oh how we feel for you and sweet little Grace! So many of us have been where you are now and can completely understand and relate to what you both are going through! So many on this site have in-depth experiences to share to help you cope! I for one can say, without the help and support of this great community it would have been so much harder. Whenever you need us... we are here as your cheering squad! Rest up little Grace, mom needs you! Virtual hugs to you both! :hugs
Looking forward to a positive report from your vet!
BTW, I love her little face on your avatar! So cute!
