Trick Challenge #1-March to the Music

Sharon, I think giving away prizes would have to be a mod decision, I don't know what the forum rules say? Perhaps a mod will see this and advise?

In theory, Sheltie Forums does not have a problem with a member "giving away" a free item. However, understand that the item must be free and that the Sheltie Forums will NOT be involved with the event outcome.

Sheltie Forums is, and will not be involved with any givaway rules, choosing of winner or any disagreements that may arise from it. All inquires or problems would need to be handled by the "donor", Sharon.

If you (and Sharon) agree, then have fun!

Julia, who was the half brother?

Glad to hear Epic is getting going. Yes, I've started in sit for simplicity and then moving to stand, actually Merlin has switched to a stand automatically.

I've just got them both up to doing a 'right, left' step before clicking, I only perhaps get to train twice a week, so don't feel you are behind!

This would be for the next month's trick challenge and only if people are interested.Anyone for it or not?

Sounds like fun!

We've been working on the 'march' trick and so far I've gotten Riley touching my leg with his paw correctly 95% of the time (with some silliness thrown in for good measure!). The biggest problem we're having is that Riley only looks at my face or hands (although he touches the correct paw to the correct leg) I'm sure that this is due to all the obedience work that we do, but i'm hoping that it won't be too big of an issue as we progress through this trick challenge!:fl

I would have loved to have gotten in on this challenge but as you know things just were too too crazy around here. I am going to try this anyway, even if I am late for the challenge. My three need a job to do very badly.

So will this challenge continue for next month or will it be something different? Forgive me if I am repeating a question or not finding the answer in the thread.

It'll be a different trick each month, so we get to learn a variety of tricks :smile2:

Haven't been able to post for a few days due to a problem with my laptop, but Sally and I have been practicing every night. Have had actual marching but can't get her to keep it up...we are having fun with it !!

Sharon, I like the prize idea also!

Sounds like fun!

He's doing good! I think the looking at your face or hands will fade as he practices this more and more. It seems like he's looking with a ''Am I doing it right'' face. I wouldn't worry about it.

I loved the playdead part at the end . So adorable.
