Oh...my hear tjust breaks for you. I am so so sorry. I can totally understand the anger mixed with sadness. I am glad that you can watch your hosue while you are at work. Were you able to get charges pressed for Sweetie?

OMG! I'm so sorry for having missed this thread....I've been avoiding Sheltie Angels this last week, as it led up to my own sad anniversary date.
King Buddy, I am so, so sorry for your loss of Sweetie. This is a tragic story of people gone wrong, with no accountability or responsibility attached. We just see it far too often in today's society - parents don't know what to do, can't deal with it, when the kid goes wild. I've had my share of that personally.
You are going the right thing by protecting yourself, your son and your pup. If your husband cannot or willnot, then you have to do it yourself.
Stay strong! Don't cave! This is for your personal safety.
My heart goes to you - you are not only grieving the traumatic death of a cherised friend, but also the possible break up of your marriage as well.

Sweetiesmom you are a VERY, VERY brave and courageous lady!! In light of this tragedy, you have a heart so big that you went and gave unconditionally out of your love for Sweetie :sadsmile:.
When we lived in West Virginia for 3 years, my hairstylist 2 only sons were killed in a car accident because the son that was driving was speeding excessively
. After some time went by, she used her pain and tragedy to help others by speaking to local school children about the dangers of speeding. Kim became well known in the area and MANY students and parents thanked her for using her pain to help others..
Your pain will not go to waste, God has a plan for it, I just know He does!!

Just to let you all know, The *** that did this goes to court for the 12 year old I do believe April 1 to be sentenced. He is out on bail now. He also goes to court this wed for child support on his other kids and he hasnt paid a dime I assume he will be behind bars that day. With him him behind bars I can persue the charges I got coming for him. I hid a tape recorder to here what was said while his stuff was moved and I know know my husband is a big joke. He isnt taking this seriosly! I will be going to the courthouse again in the am and I wont rest until I get what I need for my dear Sweetie!
I just read this thread and King, I can only imagine the heartbreak that you feel. I am so sorry that the a$&!@#$ took your dear Sweetie from you. I know that there is nothing I can say or do to ease your pain but i will keep you and your loved ones, furry ones included, in my thoughts.
Please do not feel guilty for what he did, as nobody can EVER know what another person is capable of. If you would have been home it could have been you that he attacked.

I am so glad you celebrated sweeties birthday with such a wonderful gesture. Hope the little rescue finds as kind an owner as you.
